Ready to READ! offers children the practice and review to master knowledge of the alphabet, alphabet order, recognition of upper and lowercase letters, and the sounds that correspond to each letter. Your child will also strengthen learning sounds heard at the beginning and ending of words, blending consonant-vowel-consonant sounds to make words (c-a-t = cat), recognizing rhyming words, and reading common grade-appropriate sight words. Your almost-first-grader will also practice writing the letters of the alphabet, reading nursery rhymes and answering questions associated with the nursery rhymes (basic reading comprehension).
